I am a tide
but have no volume
I have tears
but no precipitous cause
I stare through your eyes
and sense my coming
we do have separate bodies
as levels of distraction
feelings warm me up
but the fire remains withheld
if I have something to say
then I am distracted from being
the greater cause of us
has no language to speak it
when I don’t experience you
we are one
without ever the claim . . .
