consciousness as to content 1/31/17

the difficulty is that we make consciousness evident,
as if by content,
as if that provides a sure grip on something,
which seems so vague if we don’t use content
as the evidence and the descriptive.
consciousness is only dressed up in content,
as if by the style we use
filled with story and identifiables
and the certitude of account.
none of those actually have any direct involvement
with consciousness,
they just appear to.
consciousness is not stream of thought either
although if one were not appeased by communication
as supposedly the means of consciousness,
then what would consciousness be?
that we take on language and meaning
and the apparencies of logic and a sensible life
as if that is consciousness,
most of that is fill and viable surface
for the convenience of appraisal.
we sometimes associate consciousness with intelligence
but that too features representation
as if the defining element of consciousness.
it is as if the assumption is
that consciousness is substantive in nature.
that there is a definite medium of measure
available to it.
it certainly cannot be like
the relationship of particle to wave
where it cannot be definitely identified
as specifically so in the now.
we also like consciousness to have emotional elements
that are involved and evident too.
we want consciousness to have inroads to spirit
and possibly soul type qualities that appear.
all of this is of the convenience of the observer
to objectify as if it was measurable in passing. 
consciousness as if accounted by content,
however that assemblage is composed
does not constitute consciousness.
the symbology used, the language embodiment,
the lifestyle, or the presence
does not yield the full spectrum of consciousness
that is present or in broadcast.
the carriage of that essence as it streams is definite
but not definable.
it is divine but really indescribable.
consciousness is an energetic in broadcast
but not limited to that which we make out as experience. 
conscious is not the sum total of thought either
or the manifestation of feelings
as if direct from source.
consciousness is a greater expanse of being
than summation can provide
and consciousness, as the product of content,
is just wildly false and misleading.
to embrace consciousness is a process of immersion.
by the time it would surface
as agreement or languaged or shared embodiment, 
consciousness has moved beyond
the efforts of claim or acknowledgment.
consciousness if ever the flow and being
is ever the presence of that
without regard to any method of account
as if observed from
as a separate action in an experiential way or means. 
consciousness has no direct relationship to content,
that handle has been a curiosity
but only of interest
not of essence

or of essential means . . .

The particles we be in space 1/30/17

The smaller the particle of mass,
the less it is essentially ever in time.
The smaller the particle of mass,
the more space it can possibly occupy.
I am there, as are you also
but feel time-bound
with the excess baggage of me
pinned in the confines of what I claim as mine.
Intuitively, I sense I want to be everywhere
and no where
but oppressed with a logic and 24/7 evidence
consciously impeding and ever impending.
Thought arriving at language is a lifeline
that metaphorically keeps me separate
by saving me from a universe
where I cannot use understanding.
Oneness cannot be identified and still be here
with the preoccupation of experience bearing down.
When I go to there of everywhere and then return,
I feel the after affects of a full emptiness.
I feel a sense of timelessness unburdening me.
There is an energetic motion involved
much like being a conduit for all that passes through
and being some of that which passes
and that which assists with emptiness
for the passing to unendingly continue.
It feels vast without confinement
as all things are one to each other
and fully in dynamic motion unto each as themselves.
All of the mind tools of measurement, account, description,
precision, and even bystander consciousness do not apply.
If I was pressed into words
as a person to identify
what this feels like that has words to say,
I would have to say,
it is all celebration.
It is the substantive expression of joyless joy ongoing,
as if I could have words and not distance you from me
and from what we all are as these particles of mass
and the space we possibly occupy in doing so . . .

what did enlightenment 1/29/17

we all pick out an ‘explain’ of existence.
I cannot describe enlightenment.
I can only describe the description of it.
we live with the presumption of a here and a there
but curiously find that ‘here’ is inside the world of ‘there’,
and that the state of enlightenment as enlightenment
has no word for enlightenment.
the term enlightenment is just a bystander’s term.
but it is as a term of endearment identification.
it presupposes the beaconing of answers to questions.
it is a futurization that is a result of knowledge-perspective,
an orientation towards a completion, as if of a whole,
understanding as if resolute,
sanctity as if it were guarded,
substantive as if it were namable,
thoughtful as if it were inclusive,
and respectful, once again,
as if there were genuine separateness assumed.
enlightenment’s existence is:
as if it were the epitome of paradigm,
as if it is the resolution of the koan of time,
as if where in the universe, where there is no mind.
enlightenment can find no facet of distraction,
no means of definition, 
no reasoning for a directedness,
no presence for the predicament of personage
no language for the expression of its energetic truth.
where truth has no mediumship in time,
enlightenment has no witnessing to verbs,
no honoring of nouns,
no positions of construction,
no measurable means,
disrobes from language,
from the guile of meaning,
and from the wings and updrafts of understanding.
enlightenment lives the life of being,
beyond a verb
beyond evidential truth,
beyond explainable means,
beyond results or contingencies.
enlightenment has closed its contemplative eyes,
ceasing to journeyman sense,
becoming the isness,
and is impenetrable without complete immersion.
living for the art of description
is not enlightenment’s payback means.
everything that I have and am aware of
is a pittance by observation’s grasp.
a squeeze at attention’s clutching,
and yet a firm grip on the denial of its absolute.
where this description, as reverence,
is a form of involuntary cursing,
naming it is a mockery of its living truth.
enlightenment has no positions of occupancy
no gates of passage,
no thoughtform trails,
no conclusion of errors, airs or heirs.
consciousness is the tongue of an active mind
where mindfulness lives in enlightenment’s absence.
enlightenment is within the beyond
but then also, beyond the within.
to hold onto enlightenment is to withhold from it,
for holding is an expression of absence
and then, as if in consciousness, reconnection to it.
enlightenment is all of this without the contention,
the construction, the concepts, or the clarity.
enlightenment is take off your common sense shoes,
and leave them at the front door,
leave the front door of your understanding open,
walk through the structure of your mindfulness
as if it were a place in a consciousness environment, 
transcend the consciousness environment
for a sense of unabated awareness,
leave the awareness for a break-free concept
beyond mind-full-ness,
leave the mind for a sense of soul-driven spirit,
leave the spirit for the coherence of oneness,
leave the acknowledgment of oneness
to be one of enlightenment.
in enlightenment, you go no further,
everything is here
but here has no locational means,
and location has no presence of mind.
so the koan in passing, as for right now is:
what did enlighten meant?

the why I cried 1/28/17

the why I cried,
(the first four times I met you)

your seeing out from those eyes
is from a long way back there,
where you view me from,
kind of inside out,
knowing me that way,
before I had motive,
before I took up a sense of self, personified.
you are from the homeland that had no mass.
I see you seeing me that way
and I am drawn up.
I am taken out of circumstance,
given the right of being without proof needed.
your lead eye anoints me
while your follow eye holds me in the light.
there is comfort all over your face,
original, consummate and reviving.
how I ever had lapses of hopelessness escapes me.
it isn’t that I now remember from then
but more so, that I am.
you seem to be asking me
to grow from where I am transcendent.
mesmer-eyes’d absorbing my indifference,
to refute the truth of me you are gaze-proposing.
what you are saying takes up all of the space
where heart is the homeland,
spirit is the faculty of vision,
and soul lives beyond the knowing of itself.
I lay down in my response of your witness.
I am spread across lifetimes of measure.
now from then to forward is rest assured.
it exists not as a memory but an isness.
one ocean poured through
from your contemplative view,
is the viscosity of love
beyond the knowing . . .
