Versus 1/19/16

‘Versus’ is the meth of a spectator mind.

All the world of versus, the world of differences,

the world of pros and cons, the for and against,

us versus them, has an end game of superficiality

buried in the tombs of conclusions

and in the towers of judgment.

This is comparative truth in the gutter of focus

and addicted to a falsehood of attention.

The deepest of motives are never a ‘versus’ situation

for that is a projection of small minded assumptions

and a simple minded version

of what is apparently going on.

The real battle is not about an either-or

but for a deeper focus beyond the representation on display. 

It is never the why

as if blame ever leads to true transformation

in any way shape or form.

Sure comprehending motive does unearth

but motive has its own darkroom

before images were put on a falsifying display.

Versus is a three card Monty done with words

that proposes options that disclose little

of the essential truth of the matter.

Versus is the lure and the lore of spectator sports.

A way of training the mind away from

a deeper sense of self as resource.

For if you are audience,

than you are not whole heartedly and essentially involved. 

You have become some of the Machiavellian environment 

that looks and feels relevant

but is actually camouflage

properly placed right in the neighborhood

of your convenient experience zone.

These are always and in all ways

two views of the same wag,

on the tail of a dyslectic god-theme

not knowing much about the essential motivation

or its originators that are held in disguise

and promoted by the masquerade.

In versus, there are topical figureheads

but they do not comprise the truth,

either separate or together.

They are the collusion of versus apparel by appearance

yet hold on to a hidden agenda or bottom line motive.

Follow the money should be

the knock on every door that preaches versus.

Those who promote versus are they themselves 

compartmentalized from within.

Surely they can have a self to honor by their actions.    

Versus is a ploy and we are fundamentally seduced

into the over simplification that comes with the program. 

Versus is not a world of differences but more so

a world of disrespect for the oneness in deeper residence. 

Versus is immoral by its stance and claim. 

As much as it can justly be a flashlight into a dark room,

it is only a thief of your intelligence

to just show you what serves it purposes

in the seduction it presents.  

Versus is a knock at the door of attention

but it is not for opening that door

to deeper comprehension of the world outside.

It is a framing style as much as a barroom trick.

Versus pits your perception into a choice

when choice is not reason or consciousness at its highest. 

Versus digs graves and proceeds with divide and conquer. 

The more alone and isolated and separate you feel

the easier versus has meaning for you.

Versus is a dissection where the sum

is less than all of the parts.

Versus presents as if there are stand-alones

to be reckoned with as the final resolve.

There is no ongoing fluidity to versus

for it does not want you to see the process

in its depth and entirety

but wants you to linger with the intended results

and then follow that with your declaration

as if a victory has a life of its own.

Versus is the preface to all the stories

that represent the world of differences

but in the expanded version of oneness

it does not ever tell the truth,

the whole truth and nothing but the truth . . .
