I’m listening to the emperor within me
but I am doubting of its kingdom come.
For wisdom doesn’t origin from circumstance.
Yet only feels anointed by that as such.
Wisdom has awareness
as a welcome-mat has a backdrop as a front door.
Wisdom is not the songbird singing
but the songbird’s source of song.
The wisdom of the moment
is always hiding in the now.
The wisdom of acknowledgment
is not in understanding’s nod
but yet bedeviled
in revelation’s emergence from within.
