Staunch silence, beneath and behind
the 8 point 8 earthquake center point in you,
that endless 45 seconds of rumble and crash,
the sass of bumpy gravity laughing in your face,
the constant crush forthcoming yet jiggling all along,
the fabric of dead weight up close,
on you, cheek to cheek,
your earth bound self chiropractic but not volunteered,
looking up for a rim of safety,
scatter running in place
between fall downs towards a sense of hope,
but silence, in all projectiles
as objects with effort towards meaningful movement.
