the art versus the act of kindness 5/22/15

We all can aspire to acts of kindness,
yet within the broad spectrum for the context of kindness,
there is a discernable difference between the art versus the act of kindness.
The art is a way of being.
Its first order of existence assumes a presence.
It lives an internal life that is ultimately shared with the world
by whatever medium-ship that is offered from those available,
given the plead of the circumstance
and the parade of necessary behavior in the moment.
The fire is almost always aglow.
The eventual outcome is not even considered to be the reward.
Each moment, inwardly aware in this regard,
of itself, unto itself, is the reward.
It is a depth of being as spirit that carries the flame
and is given to sharing that light.
And that light becomes evident to obvious as the act conceived of
by the appearance as an act of kindness.
Now the act of kindness simply seen can have a depth,
be the response of compassion, have a logic to service
and an extended care for or towards another strait up in the moment.
Many heroes had no clue before hand
but were instilled with response without forethought.
Acts have behavior, while art has passion.
We would all, at times, want to participate in acts of kindness
as much as pay-it-forward, feed-the-hungry,
house-the-homeless affronts us in our daily lives.
The art of kindness originates in a non-eventful environment within.
It just is, and awareness of it does not name it as such.
Both versions are supremely valuable to humans
as part of our daily experience menu.
We should laugh, we should cry and we should experience kindness,
given or received every day of our life…….
