We
use to have sunsets and all that that entailed. The assumptions about us, as
humans, the planet in relationship to us, the show, put on for our benefit
perspective, the universe, on stage before us, how it all happens around us as
the continuation of the story
we
were told. Yes, sunset was the keyword, with all its iconic significance, repeatable
on a daily basis for our entire lives! So what’s so misguided about that? That
puts us in audience far removed from the essential action when in fact, we are
on the stage that is the movement causing the action we set our eyes upon. It
is not the sun moving so much as it is the earth, this earth, on the rise. We
are on that stage. It is the planet of action we are on that is on the move
that gives us this view. We are much closer to the source than historical
sunset complacent ideology has lead us to believe. It is for us to take up the
cause and realize the dance we are involved in. This is the spaceship that is
taking us onward. It is a sophisticated and highly elaborate complex where, for
our purposes, it is a profound part of the livingness we abusively interact
with. We righteously assume it is about us when the enlightened reality is, it’s
more about the planet that we dearly cling to in need and yet we maintain an
entitlement perspective and ignore and abuse it to suit our insulated
species perspective. Earthrise should be a reminder of the eminence of our
circumstances, the majesty of the dance, the elegance of the planetary play
itself, the confluence of necessity it is for us. Yes, we can always say,
‘sunset’, as long as we are reverently thinking and acting in accordance with
‘earthrise’ . . .
