3rd world thru desire's carwash 5/7/12

In 3rd world’s past,

everything was always ancient.

Change was not so important.

They, as a people, profoundly survived.

The desire plane then, had never been

so center stage.

For so many, now so quickly,

this burden has come to pass

on their nations.

It has now passed upon

each singular set of shoulders.

What is this that is to carry

that is so light and so heavy,

so easy and so difficult,

at the same time?

When what you could want

for yourself and family

is so evident before you?

What pain is this to enter

and not know

the true consequences?

Is this to not know

the far-reaching effects

where the collectible clutter gathers

about the heart?

What is gained

by not wanting to become

a shopkeeper of soulless wares?

What is it to chase

what is deep inside

for an image's worth

of desire reflected?

When are these symbols

more than just

the flat sidedness of signs?

When are these acts of purchase

more than a migration of customs?

When is this feel

more than gestures

of desire’s fulfillment?

Much meaning will come anew.

It will be so, through many forms,

and many times.

The journey of deep intent

will sometimes be a troubled find.

What words are there to say,

to what is ancient truth in the heart?

But they, as a 3rd world people,

will have to survive many changes.

Their future burden

with this full flush of desire

will also be their conundrum

amid the coming joy.

Desire is a dynamic teacher,

mentoring all sides equally

amid it’s ever onward

series of distractions.

Applause from one’s own heart

is not what desire brings

as satisfaction . . .
