Vulnerability belies
an innocence of courage,
by stories unfolding
of anecdotal souls
ever expanding
perceptions’ delight,
trumping discomforts’ account.
By this path of sacred stealth,
we make known our way
into the code of life,
we imbibe next moments
that draw us
deeper connective purposes
towards neurobiological expression;
as love beyond heartbreak,
belonging, greater than exclusion,
and bonding that never breaks.
Only shame and fear
of separation
undermine this rich texture
of vulnerability’s procession
as a sense of worthiness
expressed through self-love,
where true passion is bountiful
with authenticity as trust offered,
compassion blessedly shared,
sometimes breakdown
always as breakthrough,
emotions that express
a tendered strength,
worth without downfall,
no pretense of separation,
wholeheartedness without need
of guarantee
and belief as a drawn-ness
rather than proof.
