Mindfulness as insularity

Mindfulness has become

as an insularity.

Mindfulness has the empty status

of something

as if the body of this something

was gone

but the body heat

still circulates the room

as a unclaimed stank

forever remixing,

enough to stir

the subtleties of mindfulness.

It is hard to notice

all of this from faint

without the proposals of fact

or the buzz of information,

circulating as if mindfully anew.

This awareness of mindfulness

discloses thinking

as separate from thought,

as if mindfulness were

an evening of Polaroid’s,

scattered on the floor of memory,

to wake up the drunk of it all

and inquire as to

what the hell happened!

Ah yes,

these clip-prints of thoughts!

These fabrics of the then event

but disheveled,

somewhat fragments

in the assembly of now.

The thinking for then

may have been grand

but these remembered thoughts

themselves, seem shy,

landed in the foreign environment

of this now’s questioning

but with no hot breath

from the think of then.

This thing called memory

as an intercession,

is to validate yet violate

but somehow corroborate,

pitching tidbits of recognition

overwhelming essence,

conceals the essentials

of what has happened

to the soul of mindfulness.

For without the preeminence

of self-consciousness

baring down on moments past

for now’s explanations

as reassurances,

what is the mindfulness of now?

When mind usurps brain,

intelligence is vastly diminished

by answers.

Step aside

yet never mind

forever mindfulness. . .
